Many congratulations to our colleagues at Trident Feeds who have received a Royal Dairy Innovation Award for the high energy rumen-protected protein product NovaPro.
NovaPro is made from UK rapeseed, with proven performance benefits, including improved intakes and milk yield. It can also provide a cost-effective alternative to soya.
The Innovation Award is presented to a company, exhibiting at Dairy-Tech, for the most practical, relevant product or service which is, or likely to be, the most significant innovation for the future of dairying. Dr Michael Marsden, Matthew Stearn and Charlotte Walsh accepted the award from Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.
Chair of judges and Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (the UK charity focused on the unique needs of milk producers) council member, Tim Downes, said with NovaPro, Trident was not only making the best use of a product from rape oil production but something economically strong, with the figures they were presented, showing milk yield and health are at least as good as when feeding soya.
