José leads the business with a vision shaped by his farming roots and lifelong passion for safe, sustainable agriculture.

After graduating in biochemistry and molecular biology at the Universities of Rouen and Marseille, he began in the biotech field, applying technology to agricultural production. His international journey has taken him across Europe, the US, Japan, Latin America and China, including founding and growing Arysta LifeScience EMEA into a global crop protection business.

José specialises in uniting science, agriculture and business. With experience spanning human health, animal health, nutrition and feed, and crop protection, he combines technical expertise with commercial leadership to drive innovation and sustainable growth.

James Clarke

James joined AB Agri in August 2025 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive global experience and a strong track record in strategic financial leadership.

Prior to joining AB Agri, he held senior roles at Unilever, ultimately serving as Group Transformation Director, where he drove large-scale change programmes. Earlier in his career, James held finance positions across the communications and retail sectors, building a breadth of commercial and operational expertise.

James specialises in financial strategy, transformation and leadership development. Originally from the north-west of the UK, he is passionate about empowering the next generation of financial leaders while delivering sustainable growth for the business.

Kelly Brown

Group People & Performance Director, AB Agri

Kelly is Group People & Performance Director at AB Agri, leading the organisation’s global people agenda and driving culture, talent development and performance across international operations. She has been with the business since 2013, progressing from HR Manager to executive leadership.

Before joining AB Agri, Kelly worked for Siemens AG after graduating from the University of Leeds with a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management. Over the past decade, she has built deep expertise in shaping people strategies that support growth and transformation across complex, multinational businesses.

In addition to her leadership at AB Agri, Kelly serves as a Trustee of ABF Pensions Ltd and has been recognised as a Modern Exec Future CHRO. Under her guidance, AB Agri has been named one of The Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality 2025, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and progressive working practices.

Born in Canada, he holds an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from York University in Toronto. His career includes senior leadership roles across Europe and North America, managing multisite operations in recycling, paper mills, industrial and consumer packaging, and engineered materials.

Dino combines technical expertise with strategic leadership, and is passionate in his goal to make ABN and Premier Nutrition world class manufacturing businesses by training and engaging our fantastic workforce.

Heidi Burrows

As Managing Director of AB Neo, Heidi is driving growth for the neonatal business, which combines strong research foundations with a Centre of Excellence trial farm.

She brings more than 15 years of experience from AB Vista, where she held senior roles across commercial, operational and regulatory functions. This breadth of leadership experience has equipped her to scale innovative agri-nutrition businesses and deliver lasting value.

Heidi specialises in combining scientific insight with commercial delivery, ensuring AB Neo continues to innovate while supporting customers in meeting the nutritional needs of young farm animals today and in the future.

Nie Kuo

Managing Director, AB Agri China

As Managing Director of AB Agri China, Nie Kuo oversees a business comprising 10 feed mills, a trading company and a group management centre, employing around 1,000 people.

He joined AB Agri in 2004 as General Manager of the Liaoning Company and, in 2012, became responsible for leading the ABNA business, successfully managing six feed mills. His career reflects a strong record of building and scaling large agricultural operations.

Nie Kuo combines AB Agri and ABF’s international expertise with his deep knowledge of China’s feed and livestock sector. Under his leadership, the business applies three decades of UK feed safety management experience to deliver growth and innovation.

Juan Ignacio (Nacho) Fernández

Managing Director - Innovative Additives & Ingredients

Nacho leads AB Agri’s Innovative Additives & Ingredients, which includes AB Vista, driving innovation in specialist feed solutions.

He joined AB Vista in 2015 as Regional Sales Director for West and South Europe, before becoming EMEA Director in 2017 and Managing Director in 2020. In 2024, he stepped into his current role, building on over 25 years of experience across the feed additives sector.

Nacho is an agricultural engineer by training, specialising in animal production. He also holds an MBA from ESIC in Madrid and additional qualifications in animal nutrition, combining technical knowledge with commercial leadership to support sustainable growth.

Angela is Director of Responsibility at AB Agri, leading the business’s journey towards our goal of Net Zero in operations by 2030.

After graduating from Edinburgh University with a BSc in animal nutrition, she worked as a nutritionist before joining AB Agri in 2001. Since then, she has held roles in marketing, commodity purchasing, supply chain management, commercial account management, nutrition and quality assurance, and became Feed Safety Director in 2016.

Angela also holds key industry roles, serving as Chair of the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC), Chair of the FEFAC Feed Safety Management Committee, and member of the Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs (ACAF).

Malcolm Beaton

Director of M&A and Strategic Alliances AB Agri

Malcolm leads mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances for AB Agri, shaping growth through new business opportunities and partnerships.

He joined the company in 2008 as Finance Director for ABN and Premier Nutrition, later leading the Central Eastern Europe business where he began his M&A journey with the acquisition of BODIT. Since then, he has successfully sourced and secured numerous acquisitions that have expanded the group.

A Chartered Accountant with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, Malcolm combines financial discipline with commercial creativity to deliver long-term value for AB Agri.

Since joining in 2018, he has led the IT team and project management office (PMO), defined standards and created a performance and analytics function to support international business integration. His career has spanned financial planning and operations across China, France, Ireland and the UK.

Pascal holds a master’s in management from Toulouse Business School and is passionate about combining agriculture and technology to deliver innovative solutions across the sector.
