We are excited to have further strengthened our commitment to our vision of producing high quality, affordable, responsible food by appointing Angela Booth to a new position of Responsibility Director.
Angela has been AB Agri’s Feed Safety Director since 2016 and will continue to oversee that area in her expanded role. In addition to focusing on responsibility across our business, she will also now lead our team towards our ambitious target of becoming Net Zero in our operations by 2030, ensuring we maintain and develop a responsible supply chain and seek solutions that enable healthy animals to be grown in a more sustainable way.
Our Chief Executive Officer, José Nobre, said: “We have been implementing responsibility programmes and initiatives for several years and see Angela as the ideal person to lead as we take this approach forward at pace. She is highly experienced and very well respected both in our team and across the entire sector. Her passion for responsibility makes her the perfect choice for this new role.”
Angela said: “I care deeply about our industry being responsible and am looking forward to taking on this new challenge. However, responsibility is not about one person or function. To be successful we need everybody in our business and across the wider industry to play their part in doing things the right way. My role is to support and facilitate our people to ensure we can reach our goals, and ensure we support our customers in delivering theirs.”
Angela, a trained animal nutritionist, is also the Chair of the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) and the FEFAC Feed Safety Management Committee, as well as being a recent member of the Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs (ACAF).
