Our new ingredients business has recently launched, led by a small team with big plans to transform ingredients. Livalta will develop products and technologies to create functional, protein-rich ingredients for animal feed and responsible proteins for foods.
Responsibility is a key pillar in what Livalta aims to achieve. Its ambition is to contribute to making food systems more responsible by fulfilling the need for new, better proteins in a changing planet. New technologies are being created and at the same time customers’ demands are evolving, with more focus on sustainability. To meet this new opportunity and demand Livalta will source local, responsible and traceable proteins from co-products such as algae and single cell.
