Associated British Foods (ABF) has updated its Corporate Responsibility (CR) website to reflect performance for the financial year 2024/25, including progress and innovation from AB Agri. The refreshed content provides transparency on six material topics:
- Carbon & climate – reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency
- Waste & packaging – minimising waste and improving packaging sustainability
- Food safety & nutrition – ensuring safe, nutritious food and feed solutions
- Agriculture & farming practices – supporting sustainable farm ecosystems
- Our people – promoting health, safety, wellbeing, and inclusion
- People in our supply chains & surrounding communities – driving ethical sourcing and positive impact
The site also features AB Agri case studies that demonstrate how these commitments translate into action:
- NMR’s GenoCells technology – next-generation milk testing that provides individual cow Somatic Cell Counts (SCC) from a single bulk milk sample, enabling early detection of mastitis
- Zilcalm pet supplement – launched in 2024 by AB Agri’s Global Supplements business, this innovative product supports calm behaviour in dogs and cats, promoting psychological wellbeing
- Building nutritional knowledge to support animal health – AB Neo’s Centre of Excellence in Spain is advancing understanding of early-life nutrition to improve piglet health and welfare
- Supporting emissions reduction in agri-food products – through Sustain's Farm Footprints tool, dairy supply chain partnerships, and our commitment to calculate environmental footprints for all branded animal nutrition products by 2027
In addition, the report highlights how AB Agri is making progress across each of our six material areas—from advancing diversity and inclusion through initiatives like This is Me and employee networks, to strengthening responsible sourcing by raising supplier standards and conducting ethical audits across our global supply chains.
