AB Connect was created to connect the businesses of Trident, KW Alternative Feeds, Amur AD and ABN with the UK food and farming community.
The business provide customers with feed, nutrition, advice and related services.
It has 11 ABN manufacturing sites, producing compound feed for pig and poultry customers, and markets premix and starter feeds on behalf of other AB Agri businesses.
AB Connect markets food and drink co-products for its dairy and beef customers through its KW Alternative Feeds and Trident businesses, in addition to being British Sugar’s exclusive marketer of sugar beet.
It operates its own anaerobic digestion (AD) plant from South Milford, launched in 2017, and works with customers across the UK to help improve their own AD facilities.
Having joined AB Agri in the early 90s as part of the graduate scheme in the UK, Simon has a passion for agriculture, stemming from his farming background. He held several sales and management positions across the UK before pursuing numerous business development opportunities in the US, Canada and China.
Following the amalgamation of ABN, KW and Trident into new animal nutrition business AB Connect, Simon was appointed its Managing Director, overseeing a turnover of £1 billion and a workforce of more than 760 people.
