Golden Flake and Butterfat Extra, are fed to dairy cows to help increase milk yield (Golden Flake) or to help increase the butterfat content of the milk (Butterfat Extra). The predicted growth of the biofuels industry will lead to the production of large volumes of distillers co-products. These are valuable feeds for dairy cows but may reduce the fat content of the milk, meaning that products like Butterfat Extra will be valuable in helping offset this. |
