ABCA

ABF has extensive food and agribusiness interests in China, through its ongoing investments in sugar production (from beet and cane), yeast manufacture, grocery products and animal feeds.

ABCA is focused on improving the utilisation of co-products from the food and drink industry in China and marketing speciality feeds and micro ingredients into the animal feed sector across Asia. Drawing on a wealth of international experience, ABCA works with sugar, yeast and yeast extract producers and malt processors in China to convert their co-products into safe and valuable feed ingredients through specialist technical, marketing and logistics support.

Increased food and drink production in China creates an opportunity to make better use of these materials and reduce land use. Co products from the food and drink industry, namely sugar beet pulp, yeast and yeast derivatives have been used to improve animal health and performance, subsequently generating more profit for livestock businesses. Product development is vital to making better use of naturally-sourced feed materials and the existing depth of knowledge is being supplemented by an extensive programme of technical research work in China. The rapidly developing livestock sector in China offers tremendous opportunities for improved utilisation of co-products.

ABCA has teams in Shanghai, Harbin and Sydney; the business is dedicated to providing a first class service to domestic and international partners. The business offers a sustainable solution for the food, drink and livestock industry and a great opportunity for farmers and feed manufacturers to take advantage of these quality products.
